On Spain’s Costa Blanca, Torrevieja is an excellent base to both just relax and to explore the surrounding areas. Torrevieja is not a 'package holiday' resort, but mainly caters for the Spanish holiday makers and people who own or rent property in the area. So if you are tired of package holidays, it is a lovely location.

Playa Flamenca is conveniently situated. There are many Blue Flag sandy beaches within a 5 minute drive or 25 minute walk. Playa Flamenca, Cabo Roig, La Zenia, & Campoamor are all easily reached. If golf is your passion then there are 3 golf courses (Villamartin, Campoamor and Las Ramblas) all within a 15-20 minute drive. The area is renowned for its large saltwater lagoons, home to wildlife including Flamingos, which along with the average of 320 sunny days a year help it to be one of the healthiest places to live in the world. In Torrevieja itself you’ll find a harbour side and stylish promenade with an evening street market.
There’s an abundance of bars, restaurants and shops. An old fashioned fun fair operates on the front. The town also boasts a bowling alley, multiplex cinema, Water Park and go-karting. Some attractions only open in the summer months.

If you enjoy exploring, the capital of the local province Orihuela is 30 minutes drive away and inland the city of Murcia with splendid architecture, historical monuments and good shopping. To the south, La Manga with La Mar Menor and its famous golf course and to the north the city of Alicante, and one of Europe’s biggest theme parks Terra Mitica, which overlooks, Benidorm. Aqualandia Water Park and Mundomar Animal Park. This really is a glorious place, come and experience it yourself.
